Glu to Launch Taylor Swift Mobile Game in Late 2016
The development studio known as Glu have set out to release a Taylor Swift mobile game late this year, set to be around the life of the famous pop star.
Glu have released titles similar in vain to this that partner up with celebrities, like Kim Kardashian, who’s Game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” actually did rather well on the iOS App Store. Whereas their other celebrity title, starring Katy Perry, was considered by the CEO of Glu as a total flop, and didn’t even come close to Kim Kardashian’s game in terms of success.
In the hopes to combat the failure that was Katy Perry’s own game, the studio have partnered up with Taylor Swift, in the hopes of making another hit game for all the Taylor Swift fans out there who just can’t seem to get enough of the popular female singer.
Unfortunately, not too much has been said about the game so far, so what you’ll be expected to do within the game is currently a mystery to the public, but it would be safe to guess that it may be similar to Glu’s previous titles that involve celebrities, to at least some degree.
However, the studio have said in the release that “Taylor and her fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience.” The press release also states that “Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity”, and that accordingly, they will spend the majority of development time in providing that innovation.
What that statement could mean is currently a secret, as they have yet to release any news around the game and what you shall be doing in it. All I know is that the statement seems to contain a lot of fluff and is derived to bring up buzz for the game; something that probably wouldn’t be needed with a household name like Taylor Swift being the focus of such a game.
Hopefully, a few months down the line, Glu will have a little more to say or to show on Taylor Swift mobile game, as right now all they really have is a property and not too much more.
