Match-3, RPG Scurvy Scallywags, Now Out on Google Play
Scurvy Scallywags, a pirate-themed match-3, RPG title from indie game developer Beep Games, is now available in the Play Store for free. This Android game was developed by game industry authorities Ron Gilbert (The Cave, Monkey Island) and Clayton Kauzlaric (Voodoo Vince). Aside from combining match-3 and RPG components, it also has musical elements for additional entertainment.
In Scurvy Scallywags, your personalized pirate character can be seen on a traditional match-3 playing field, together with loots to be stolen, precious quest items, and opponents who have a big bull’s eye on your back. As soon as you match three or more tiles, the board will then move in the direction you swiped. Utilize this strategy to set up your character with stuff you need or to get around stronger monsters.
Last year, it was released on the iOS platform and it received praise for its fresh gameplay. It has an 84% Metascore rating on Metacritic from 16 critics. Android fans should be excited to see Scurvy Scallywags on Google Play.
The game’s other features include:
- Four strange lands (jungle, ice, desert, and fire islands) to travel through where you need to find Ultimate Sea Shanty’s 16 hidden verses.
- Do up your character in costumes (100+ hats, swords, shirts, and heads), build nine different pirate ships, and pick from a number of special abilities, weapons, and moves.
- 50 achievements to complete
- Match-3 mechanic with quest on the side
You can download Scurvy Scallywags in the Play Store now. This Android game is free. If you are still undecided, you may want to check the trailer below:
